Maria was one of the studio singers for the chorus of the Katrina relief effort recording of the single “Come Together Now,” co-written by Sharon Stone, Denise Rich, Mark Feist, and Damon Sharpe. The single was recorded at Capitol Records in the legendary Studio B. Celebrities participating in the collaboration included Celine Dion, Natalie Cole, and Patti LaBelle. “Come Together Now,” originally inspired by the tsunami tragedy, was the first major all-star collaboration for charity since “We Are The World.” You can catch glimpses of Maria in the video at 3:33, 3:35, and 3:50:
Maria lent her singing voice to the soundtrack of a fabulous short film called “When the Kids are Away,” directed by Jon Chu (Step Up 2: The Streets), composed by Bear McCreary (Sarah Connor Chronicles, Battlestar Galatica). Check out the trailer:
Some of Maria’s sound-alike work includes voice matching Charlize Theron for the sci-fi flick, “Aeon Flux.” Some of the dialogue Maria covered is featured in this trailer:
